Family and Child Connect

Our FaCC services form part of a state-wide network funded by the Queensland Government to engage families (with children up to 18 years of age) who are experiencing a range of challenges that are impacting the safety, health, wellbeing and/or connectedness of those children or young people.

In some regions we have partnered with other not-for-profit organisations to deliver the best service possible.

FaCC practitioners can provide information and advice over the phone or, should circumstances dictate, engage in person with families or professionals to understand their needs and increase available options.

Program activities

The program works with families to:

  • Listen and understand their individual circumstances and how they might best be supported
  • Provide brief practical or therapeutic support to move families out of crisis
  • Work with and coach professionals who are in contact with families
  • Link families to other supports who can help them address their specific needs

Families can self-refer to the program and can also be referred by others with the consent of the family (certain state government services can refer without consent); just call 13 32 64 (13 FAMILY) or complete the online referral form.
