We value each person’s diversity, innate gifts and abilities and encourage them to seek opportunities to share these with family, friends and the community. We are continuously touched by the journeys people take with us and experiences we have across all service streams. Here are just a few of our stories.
“I have been blessed to be part of the Emmaus family during the past two and a half years as mum lived with you all. It is the little things that make it special – the gentle hug, the personal chat that comes with the cuppa, the beautiful garden, the clean areas that she always noticed, the special piano, the amazing personal care … and my support!”
The Mercy Divas is a singing group that goes to nursing homes (and places like that) around Brisbane. I have been a Mercy Diva for a couple of years now with Sandy Mills, Narelle, Maureen and Katie. Recently we have performed at Allambe and the Holy Cross Convent.
A talkative, cheeky and resilient little girl, who was once selectively mute, has recently graduated from our Therapeutic Day Program in Toowoomba.
